An image reproducing system using position information and an operating method thereof are provided to perform various image reproducing services by displaying an image of stored image files along with distance information. An image processing device(100) generates an image file by taking a picture of an image. A GPS(Global Positioning System) device(300) receives position information from a GPS satellite(200). The image processing device includes a present position information storage part(123-1), a distance calculating part(123-2), and a display part(119). The present position information storage part receives present position information from the GPS device, and stores the received present position information. The distance calculating part calculates a distance between a present position and a position on which the image of the image files is taken. The display part displays the calculated distance and the image of the image files. |
