The industrial truck i.e. freight forwarder (10), has a pedestrian device including a pedestrian control unit formed as a driving control unit for driving the industrial truck and/or as a stroke control unit for lifting and/or lowering a lifting attachment (14). The lifting attachment receives and lifts or lowers loads i.e. palettes. The pedestrian control unit is formed as a guidance control unit. The pedestrian control unit allows steering of the industrial truck in a pedestrian control module by a person located outside an operator's platform (12).
