The present invention relates to a waste heat recovery system of a sewage treatment plant. The waste heat recovery system includes a heat exchange unit through which a primary medium heat-exchanging with sewage in the sewage treatment plant including an aeration tank and anaerobic tank circulates; and a heat pump heating a secondary heat medium which heat-exchanges with the primary heat medium heat-exchanged with the sewage in the heat exchange unit and circulates in a load equipment. The sewage and wastewater in the aeration tank is circulated in the waste heat recovery tank installed with the heat exchange unit to heat-exchange with the primary heat medium, and the sewage in the anaerobic tank is transferred to s primary settling tank via the waste heat recovery tank to heat-exchange with the primary heat medium of the heat exchange unit. Therefore, since the heat generated in the process of treating the sewage through the sewage treatment plant is reused as a heat source, such as heating, by the heat pump, it is possible to reduce costs for the heating in buildings.
