POWER GENERATION FROM SECOND-GENERATION RENEWABLE-ENERGY PLANTS

It is disclosed a power-generation method practicable for hydroelectric plants set at any mountain and whatever height thereof. Water is collected by an inclined ditch being constructed around the perimeter of the mountain and having a lateral street. For drainage and power production, waterproof photovoltaic panels and sheltered or unsheltered wind generators will be placed at adequate positions, at the drainage basin which will can be adequately coated, if needed. The water is conducted to coated natural or artificial cavities and descends from the suitable mountainside through inlet conduits to the power generation plant with great falling height and little power generation cost; descending water is excellently guided for water supply and irrigation purposes. The hydroelectric plants in question are able to increase more than three times the known economically exploitable hydrodynamic power in Greece and constitute fire-protection zones in forests for facilitating reforestations and so the fauna and flora growth.
