The present invention relates to a plant transformant transformed to activate an endogenous inactive gene LOC_Os10g65010, a recombinant vector comprising an expression inducing a sequence expressing the gene, and a method for producing the transformant. Further, the present invention relates to a method for improving the disease resistance of rice, the method comprising activating the gene LOC_Os10g65010. The present invention relates to transgenic rice having strong resistance to bacterial blight and blast by inserting an expression inducing gene into an expression regulatory site of the bacterial blight-resistant gene LOC_Os10g65010, which is endogenously present in rice but does not have activity. The use of the transgenic rice of the present invention can lead to a reduction in the use of agricultural chemicals, improvement in productivity, and the supply of safe agricultural products through disease resistance, thereby enabling widespread usage.
