The present invention relates to an aluminum alloy composition and a heat treatment method thereof and, more specifically, to an aluminum alloy composition comprising: 0.8-1.3 wt% of silicon (Si), greater than 0 and 0.5 or less wt% of iron (Fe), 0.15-0.4 wt% of copper (Cu), greater than 0 and 0.15 or less wt% of manganese (Mn), 0.8-1.2 wt% of magnesium (Mg), greater than 0 and 0.25 or less wt% of chrome (Cr), greater than 0 and 0.2 or less wt% of zinc (Zn), greater than 0 and 0.1 or less wt% of titanium (Ti), and residual aluminum (Al). The present invention relates to the aluminum alloy composition for improving the strength and controlling a process of an aluminum alloy such as a back safety plate mounted on a large truck as mandatory due to safety related regulations, and the heat treatment method thereof.
