The invention obtains a light-emitting function of a vehicle functional component with a relatively simple structure and in a relatively compact form. Moreover, the invention provides a vehicle functional component design of which is not impaired and which is excellent in beauty and appearance. A vehicle component includes a molded cover (1) molded into a shape of a surface of a part attached to a vehicle and a surface-emitting device (2) bonded or fitted and fixed along a back face of the molded cover (1). The molded cover (1) is vacuum formed by solid decorative molding of a translucent resin molded member with a translucent film, and light from the surface-emitting device (2) is transmitted through the molded cover (1) and emerges in a predetermined light-emitting area which is a part of a surface of the vehicle component.
