The device is designed in such a manner that a track wheel (5) is detachably mounted on an axle of a track wheel arm (13), where a unit is releasable from the axle and lockable. The unit is designed as a ball locking pin or a magnetically/electromagnetically triggered switching or pressure unit. A catch fork (2) holds the track wheel arm in a wheel changing position. Release of the track wheel from the axle of the track wheel arm takes place during swinging-up of the track wheel. An independent claim is also included for a track wheel changing device comprising a changing magazine.
