Use of a culture supernatant or lysate of microorganism of Propionibacterium freudenreichii species as an agent in a cosmetic composition for the treatment and/or prevention of aesthetic skin disorders associated with oily or oily-prone skin, preferably disorders associated with imbalance in the composition of sebum including excessive lipid peroxidation, is claimed.
