The cuff (1) has annular and expandable tape (2) whose tape portions (3,4) are partially overlapped in circumferential direction. A locking device (10) includes tooth series (21,22) arranged in parallel at longitudinal edges (24,25) of tape portion and provided with instep pinions (31,32). The locking elements (41,42) are acted upon spring elements (51,52) against instep pinions. The blocking pinions are assigned as locking elements and pressed on spring element against instep pinions so that respective blocking pinion is held with instep pinion and engaged to tooth series.
