摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve seizure resistance, wear resistance and sliding characteristics of a cylinder bore inner surface and to enable oil consumption amount and blow-by gas amount to be suppressed.SOLUTION: This invention provides a working method and working apparatus for a cylinder bore inner surface. The working method for a cylinder bore inner surface is a working method for forming a plated coating film by applying Ni-P alloy plating treatment to the cylinder bore inner surface. The method includes a heat treatment step 20 of heating first regions 4a, 4c of the cylinder bore inner surface 4 corresponding to the top dead center and bottom dead center of a piston, respectively and a honing grinding step 23 of grinding the plated coating film on the cylinder bore inner surface 4 hardened through the heating treatment. The surface roughness at the first region (the top dead center side) 4a and (the bottom dead center side) 4c becomes smaller than the surface roughness of a second region 4b through the working of the cylinder bore inner surface 4, resulting in that it is possible to improve low friction, seizure resistance and wear resistance through heating hardening and to suppress oil increase and blow-by gas amount.
