PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method capable of specifying a printer for reducing margins during printing on the basis of the size of paper prepared in the printer and an output size of data to be outputted.SOLUTION: A print controller connectable to a plurality of printers through a network generates a printed matter in size desired by a user by using a printer in which paper for an output object desired by the user is prepared as a device for preparing paper, and using a printer in which needed ink is mounted as a printing machine. To facilitate selecting a printer to prepare paper, a list of candidates for printers for paper preparation can be presented in the smaller order of the minimum margin area when printed by each printing candidate.
