The applied unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feeding conveyor, a baffle brush, a cleaner as an inclinedly mounted cleaning unit, formed by longitudinal driving cylindrical rollers, having concurrent-rotational movement in pairs and forming a trough-shaped channel in the transverse plane, and a finger blanket cleaner. Inside of the cleaner, from above, an activator as two pairs of brushes formed by elastic rods is mounted. The driving shafts of said brushes are parallel, arranged as consoles and in perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the rollers. The cleaning unit is arranged inside of a moving frame, which is mounted by the edges into four inclinedly arranged guides and is kinematically connected with mechanisms of reciprocal motions thereof in an inclined plane, which is in parallel to the longitudinal axes of the cylindrical rollers. The brushes are mounted on the driving parallel shafts of the upper and lower pairs thereof with gaps and are connected therewith with the aid of torsional springs. |
