PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pressure generator for environment-friendly vehicles.SOLUTION: An air pressure generator comprises an operation start air pressure determining step S110 which includes an engine-driven air compressor 12 operated by an engine 11, an electric air compressor 13 operated by a battery and an air tank 15 connected respectively to an outlet of the engine-driven air compressor 12 and an outlet of the electric air compressor 13 and storing pressurized air and compares an air pressure of the inside of the air tank 15 with the operation start air pressure, an engine operation deciding step S120 of deciding whether the engine 11 should be driven or not when the air pressure of the inside of the air tank 15 is lower than the operation start air pressure, an electric air compressor operating step S160 of operating the electric air compressor 13 when the engine 11 is not in operation and an engine-driven air compressor operating step S170 of operating the engine-driven air compressor 12 when the engine 11 is in operation. |
