PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic film having a high breakdown voltage and a manufacturing method thereof, a method for increasing the breakdown voltage of a plastic film by modification of the morphology of the film, and use of the plastic film as a dielectric film in a capacitor.SOLUTION: In a stretched film of the present invention, a dispersed phase containing at least one polyester and/or polycarbonate is dispersed in the form of platelets in a matrix phase containing at least one polyester and/or polycarbonate different from the at least one polyester and/or polycarbonate in the dispersed phase. The content of the polyester and/or polycarbonate in the dispersed phase is set to be less than 50 wt.%.
