PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel cover set for a wheelchair, which can be easily and quickly mount on wheels in the occurrence of a disaster, which can make the wheels run while preventing wheel inner tubes from being punctured, and which can also manage to keep any punctured wheel in a running state.SOLUTION: A protective shape-retaining cover member 13 is elastically deformed in a shape to be fitted to the outer periphery of a tire 10 in a wheel 8 of a wheelchair. The protective shape-retaining cover member 13 has an arcuate side face to be mounted in a state covering the outer periphery, and is prepared for the number of pieces that nearly continuously cover the entire periphery of the tire 10. The cover member 13 has a nearly semi-circular cross-sectional shape which covers the outer periphery and a side face shape which curves roughly with the same curvature as that of the circumferential direction of the tire 10 and which arcuately extends with a length of about a fraction of the circumferential length of the tire 10. The center part in the width direction in contact with the grounding face of the tire 10 is provided with a high hardness, and both side parts in the width direction are provided with flexibility of being elastically deformed in the width direction. |
