The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to a method for evaluation of stress-corrosion cracking of alloys by means of electro-chemical and acoustic-emission methods of investigation. The method consists in placement of the sample of alloy in corrosive medium that fills a cell with measuring electrodes and other means placed there, its loading and electrochemical polarization of the surface of the sample with simultaneous registration of informative parameters of corrosion cracking. Additionally a primary converter of the acoustic emission signals is mounted on the sample, this is registered during period of tests, by the data of measurements correlation between the parameters of signals of acoustic emission and electro-chemical and mechanical characteristics of corrosion cracking is determined, by those the conclusion is made on its beginning or stages of development. The invention provides increase of reliability of parameters of stress-corrosion cracking with account of the changes of electro-chemical, mechanical and acousto-emissive parameters and accurate reveal of the periods of development of corrosion crack from the instant of its generation to the instant of beginning of critical development of destruction. |
