Provided are: a sealing film for solar cells, which is capable of improving the power generation efficiency of a solar cell element by containing a wavelength conversion material therein, and which is capable of sufficiently maintaining the power generation efficiency improving effect even in cases where a solar cell is used for a long period of time; and a solar cell. A sealing film for solar cells, which contains a resin material that contains an olefin (co)polymer and a wavelength conversion material, and which is characterized in that the wavelength conversion material is a europium complex represented by formula (I); and a solar cell which uses this sealing film for solar cells. (In the formula, each R independently represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group having 1-20 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 1-4.) |
