<p>A moulding composition comprises polyisocyanate, polyol, catalyst, pyrogenically-produced oxide of metal or metalloid, siloxane (I), and physical blowing agent. The catalyst is capable of catalyzing the reaction between polyisocyanate and polyol. The amount of physical blowing agent contained in the composition is less than 2 wt.% with respect to the total amount of the moulding composition. A moulding composition comprises polyisocyanate, polyol, catalyst, pyrogenically-produced oxide of metal or metalloid, physical blowing agent, and siloxane of formula: R-Si(CH 3) 2-O-[-Si(CH 3) 2-O-] n-[-Si(CH 3)R 1>-O-] m-Si(CH 3) 2-R 2> (I). The catalyst is capable of catalyzing the reaction between polyisocyanate and polyol. The amount of physical blowing agent contained in the composition is less than 2 wt.% with respect to the total amount of the moulding composition. R,R 2>methyl or R 1>; R 1>-(CH 2) x-(O) z-(CH 2-CHR'-O) y-R", -(CH 2)-R"', -(CH 2) x-(O) z-R", -CH 2-CH 2-CH 2-O-CH 2-CH(OH)-CH 2OH, or -(CH 2) c-(O) z-(CH 2-CHR'-O) y-R"; R' : H, methyl, ethyl, or phenyl; R" : H, -(CO)-R"', -(CO)-NH-R"', 1-40C alkyl; R'" : 1-40C alkyl, aryl, or alkylaryl, which is optionally substituted by halogen; n+m+2 : 10-150; m : 0-20; x : 2-15; y : 1-40;and z : 0 or 1. When m=0, R or R 2> is R 1>, and when z, x, and y=0, R" contains 2 or more carbon atoms. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) production of moulding, which involves converting moulding composition into a moulding by performing shaping process, and forming the reaction products of polyisocyanate and polyol; and (2) usage of moulding, as sealing element, assembly aid, adhesion medium, soft-touch element, gel cushion, and vibration-damping element.</p> |
