PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a troublesome operation of setting a radio communication parameter in addition to an operation of transmitting an image file to a server, when connecting to a wireless access point installed at other than home. SOLUTION: A control method of a communication device comprises; in response to the detection of a data transmission instruction given by a user, acquiring a communication parameter for radio communication with another communication device constituting a radio network, through communication with the other communication device; connecting the communication device to the other communication device on the basis of the communication parameter, and on the basis of setting information to set a VPN (Virtual Private Network), establishing the VPN at least between the communication device and the other communication device.
