A concentrated microbial insecticidal suspension is prepared from a whole sporulated culture of a bacillus which produces insect toxins in the form of spores and parasporal crystal bodies when grown in an aqueous nutrient medium, by separating from said whole sporalated culture of said bacillus, without drying, a cell sludge having a pH not in excess of 5.5, and preferably between 3.5 and 4.5. The suspension may also contain a liquid oleaginous material, an emulsifying agent or a water-soluble ammonium or metal salt.
