PURPOSE: A power steering system for a vehicle is provided to reduce vibration in traveling by automatically controlling the flow rate and amount of oil supplied to a gear box from a power steering pump according to the engine rpm. CONSTITUTION: A power steering system for a vehicle includes an oil valve, a valve actuator, and a controller. The oil valve(10) is connected to a power steering pump(1) through a feed hose and to a gear box(2) through a vibration-prevention hose and a fuel efficiency improvement hose with different diameters and lengths. The valve actuator(30) operates the oil valve so that the vibration-prevention hose and the fuel efficiency improvement hose are selectively connected to the feed hose. The controller(40) controls the drive of the valve actuator according to the engine rpm. |
