A heat-developable, two-component diazotype material comprises a support coated with a layer containing a diazonium compound, an azo coupler which produces a blue dye with the diazonium compound, a 2-alkyl resorcinol in which the alkyl group has 1 to 10 carbon atoms as a second coupler which produces a yellow dye with the diazonium compound and a compound which releases alkali on heating. The first coupler may be diresorcyl sulphide or sodium 6, 7-di-hydroxynaphthalene- 2-sulphonate and the alkali generator may be sodium of potassium trichloracetate. The lightsensitive layer may also contain silica, formamide and polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl acetate and may be coated on a support of rayon, cotton cloth, starch-filled cloth or polyester.</p> |
