The present invention relates to an automatic tool changer which automatically replaces a tool used for processing equipment such as a machining center for processing a calliper housing of an automotive brake system. Unlike the conventional automatic tool changer, a calliper housing processing apparatus is mounted with a first sub-motor which generates vertical transferring in order to realize an automatic tool changer only using a mechanism without using an additional hydraulic or pneumatic actuator and an exclusive cam device. The caliper housing processing apparatus includes a cam link where a first roller mounted on one side end is in contact with a main frame, whose the other side end is connected to a transfer shaft with a hinge, and whose center part is connected to a link framed with a hinge; and a cam slider where a link arm and the center part of a push rod are connected to be crossed with each other using a hinge, an air supply nozzle is mounted at the end of the push rod, and a second roller mounted at one side end of the link arm is in contact with the main frame. By controlling the horizontal sliding movement of a tool changing unit, a tool grip hook, and the air supply nozzle, an automatic tool changing system can be established at low costs. In addition, the high-speed tool changer for processing a calliper housing of an automotive brake system can improve the production efficiency of a product by shortening a chip-to-chip process. |
