<p>Disclosed are a java data object conversion device and a method thereof. An object generation unit reads data recorded in an input file with a certain unit and generates a data object corresponding to the certain unit. An object processing unit includes a byte array in which column values included in the certain unit are stored and an object array in which the field value of a data object is stored and provides or changes the column values. A metadata provision unit provides metadata including the size and data type of each column included in the certain unit. According to the present invention, data processing efficiency can be enhanced by generating a data object using data stored in different data formats or minimizing conversion costs necessary for converting a data object into different data formats. In particular, in the case of a system which processes a large volume of ledger data such as a batch system, significant efficiency improvement is expected. Also, as the format of a java data object is improved without changes to a working code by being operated internally through a proxy object located inside the java data object, costs for modifying or changing a program can be minimized. Furthermore, by resolving performance issues and development-perspective issues of the existing mapper and describing mapping data in java data objects, it is possible to perform conversion between records and java data objects fast without separately configuring column layout data or developing a mapper class.
