The present invention relates to a safety device for a socket and a plug and, more specifically, to a safety device for a socket and a plug for preventing a safety accident such as an electric shock by blocking conductive foreign substances of a stick shape, except a connection terminal of the plug, from being inserted by using the safety device which opens and closes a ground hole of the socket. For the aforementioned purposes, the safety device for a socket and a plug, which blocks conductive foreign substances of a stick shape, except a connection terminal (21) of the plug (20) from being inserted by an operation which opens and closes the ground hole (12) of the socket (10), includes: a push plate (110) which is combined to protrude toward the inner front side of the plug (20) and presses an operation plate (120) which is installed inside the socket (10) in a process of inserting the plug (20) into the ground hole (12) of the socket (10); and the operation plate (120) which is combined inside the ground hole (12) of the socket (10) in order to be symmetric in a pair and opens the ground hole (12) by sliding left and right in a horizontal direction by the pressing action of the push plate (110). |
