The system has a sampling device with an endless screw, a measuring chamber (9) for continuous measurement of parameters of materials e.g. powder material, in a pile (1), and a discharge chute (8). The sampling device is arranged on a support so as to be depressed and emerged from the pile. The support is arranged to be movable on a gantry (5). The sampling device is utilized for sending the materials taken towards the chamber for continuous monitoring of the discharge chute. The endless screw is placed in a tube (6). An independent claim is also included for a method for measurement of parameters of materials in a pile.
