A cine projector for use with either of two types of sub-standard cine film differing the dimensions of the picture frame, contains an aperture plate device Fig. 5 having a main stationary aperture plate 14 with an aperture 50 of a size suitable for the film having the larger picture frame and an auxiliary movable aperture plate 40 with an aperture 48 of a size suitable for the film having the smaller picture frame, the auxiliary aperture plate being moved from its inoperative position as shown into its operative position to mask the main aperture 50 by the rotation of knob 16. Operation of the knob 16 also allows the film guide plate 18 to be pulled laterally by spring 26 from the guiding position for one type of film as shown into the correct position for the other type of film, the film being held against the guides by the sprung film pressure plates 30. The projector also includes a levertype claw for intermittently transporting the film having a movable fulcrum to adjust the length of stroke, and interchangeable sets of sprocket wheels and associated guide elements.</p> |
