The electromechanical disk brake has an actuating unit arranged at a brake caliper, in which two friction linings are arranged in displaceable manner. The friction linings cooperate with a side surface of a brake disk. The actuating unit is formed of an electric motor and a reduction gear arranged operatively between the electric motor and the former friction lining. The actuating unit is assigned a pressure equalizing unit (6) to avoid a free contamination in an interior space of the disk brake by misplaced reagents.
