PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tablets which protection features are incorporated into, having substantially the same composition as traditional tablets which can be produced without applying high temperature in a production process, without necessity to expand the production process compared to traditional methods, and to provide further a compression die capable of producing such tablets as well as a production method of such a mold.SOLUTION: Tablets for pharmaceutical use have on at least part of its surface a diffractive microstructure 11 which can be read in an optical spectral range and useful as a visual security feature. The tablets comprise a plurality of individual powder particles, and the diffractive microstructure 11 is engraved in the surface of the individual powder particles. A compression tool for producing such a tablet has on one pressing surface of the compression tool microstructures, and the microstructure has a dimension smaller than the dimension of each crystallite of the material of the pressing surface of the compression tool.
