PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head capable of improving quality of a signal recorded on a recording medium, and achieving high density recording, and to provide a disk device including the recording head.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a magnetic recording head 58 of a disk device includes a main magnetic pole 60 which generates a magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to a recording layer of the recording medium, a write shield magnetic pole 62 which faces a trailing side of the main magnetic pole with a gap therebetween, a coil which generates a magnetic flux in a magnetic circuit formed by the main magnetic pole and the write shield magnetic pole, and a high frequency oscillator 65 which is arranged between a tip end of the main magnetic pole at the recording medium side and the write shield magnetic pole, and generates a high frequency magnetic field. The write shield magnetic pole has an end face 62b which faces the main magnetic pole and the high frequency oscillator. The end face is formed so that the gap with the main magnetic pole is larger at a part farther than a part which is closer to the recording medium. |
