PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of detecting movement of a holder to a home position.SOLUTION: An optical pickup device includes an optical component which guides a laser beam to an optical disk, a holder for holding the optical component, a support member which movably supports the holder: a stopper which is put into contact with the holder to stop movement of the holder, a lead screw 83 which is rotated by a drive motor, a spring member having a pressure-contact piece 875 which is pressed against a thread groove 86B of the lead screw to move the holder using rotational force of the lead screw, and a first holding member 61 and a second holding member 62 which are fixed to the holder to extend from the holder side toward the lead screw side and have the spring member wound around an outer periphery thereof. The spring member is wound around both the first holding member and the second holding member together. The second holding member has an abutting surface which abuts the pressure-contact piece to limit deformation of a wire member toward a direction of the holder movement when the holder comes into contact with the stopper. |
