<p>An energy storage system (100) including: a storage battery (42) provided to the inside of a casing (12); an air intake fan (32) provided to an air intake opening (33) in the casing (12); a heater (34) disposed between the air intake fan (32) and the storage battery (42); and a control unit that, when heating the storage battery (42), activates the air intake fan (32) subsequent to activating the heater (34). When heating the storage battery (42), the control part may activate the air intake fan (32) subsequent to the temperature of the activated heater (34) reaching or surpassing a first threshold value. When stopping the heating of the storage battery (42), the control part may stop the air intake fan (32) subsequent to stopping the heater (34). When stopping the heating of the storage battery (42), the control part may stop the air intake fan (32) subsequent to the temperature of the stopped heater (34) reaching or falling below a second threshold value.</p> |
