Provided is a dental syringe which, when performing injection filling of dental material from an outlet of a syringe main unit, can easily eject air within the syringe main unit to the outside, and easily discharge the dental material at treatment time. A dental syringe is configured from a syringe main unit (1), a plunger (2), and O-rings (3) mounted on retaining grooves (2a) which are formed along the circumferential direction of a distal end of the plunger (2). The retaining grooves (2a) of the plunger (2) are configured from: shallow grooves (2aa) of the distal end for which the purpose is, when starting injection filling of the dental material, to constrain movement of the plunger (2) within the syringe main unit (1) by way of the O-rings (3), and subsequent to withdrawing of air from the rearward end side of the syringe main unit (1), to cause the O-rings (3) to abut the inner surface of the syringe main unit (1) with a strength that allows the plunger (2), pushed by the dental material, to move, together with the O-rings (3), to the rearward end side; and deep grooves (2ab) of the rearward end side, into which the O-rings (3) are moved from the shallow grooves (2aa) upon pressing of an end portion of the rearward end side of the plunger (2) with a finger in order to discharge the dental material. |
