PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a magnetic resonance system, in which a fat signal can be appropriately separated from a water signal.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a magnetic resonance system for executing a first pulse sequence, includes an excitation step and an acquisition step. In the excitation step, a first gradient magnetic field is applied in a first gradient magnetic field direction in order to generate a space dependent magnetostatic field. A selective high-frequency excitation pulse is transmitted. While the selective high-frequency excitation pulse excites a first substance but does not excite a second substance in a first partial area 33 of an inspection volume 30, it does not excite the first substance but excites the second substance in a second partial area 36 of the inspection volume 30. In the acquisition step, a non-selective refocusing pulse is transmitted in order to acquire raw data on the first and second partial areas of the inspection volume through spatial encoding along the gradient magnetic field direction. |
