Provided is a wire gripper that is lightweight and capable of making an operation for maintaining the gripped state of a bracing wire easy and safe. This wire gripper (10) is a wire gripper that is equipped with a stationary gripping body (12) having a linear body restraining part (24), a swing member (14) that is swingably attached to the stationary gripping body by means of a support rod, a movable gripping body (16) having a linear body holding part, a connection member (18) for causing the swing member to swing, and a swing member restricting part (20) for restricting the swinging amount of the swing member. The wire gripper is constructed such that reinforcement parts (32, 40) are formed on the stationary gripping body (12) in the area where the support rod (70) is attached, and a linear body (W), which is sandwiched between the movable gripping body (16) and the stationary gripping body (12), is prevented from falling out from between the movable gripping body (16), the movable amount of which is restricted by the swing member restricting part (20), and the stationary gripping body (12). |
