The sealing seam strength testing device has a clamping element (1) for receiving an end of a packaging material, which is connected to another packaging material through a sealing seam. A winding element (2) is provided for winding an end of the latter packaging material. The winding element is operatively connected in operation of the device with an electric motor drive. A tool-free releasable coupling device (4) is arranged between the winding element and the electric motor drive. The clamping element and the winding element are arranged in a housing (5). The coupling device is made from two mutually detachable pieces (4.1), where the former piece is accessible from outside the housing.
