The vehicle (1) has an electric drive device (3) for driving the vehicle. The electric drive device is electrically connected to a first high-voltage battery (2). The first high-voltage battery is installed in the vehicle to perform proper operation of the vehicle. A second high-voltage battery (5) is temporarily placed in or on the vehicle to assure proper operation of the vehicle. The first high-voltage battery of the vehicle comprises an electric interface (6) that is adapted for electrically contacting the second high-voltage battery. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a vehicle.
