PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable light to be accurately adjusted even when a preliminary light emission cannot be fired during a common exposure period.SOLUTION: A camera 100 causes a remote flash device connected via a master flash device to fire a preliminary light emission prior to photographing, and causes the remote flash device to fire a main light emission upon photographing. The camera 100 includes an image pickup element 102 and a control part 105. The image pickup element 102 reads an accumulated electric charge from a plurality of pixels receiving light from a subject by a rolling shutter method, and outputs an analog electric signal for each frame. The control part 105 calculates a light emission amount when causing the remote flash device to fire the main light emission to one or a plurality of frames in which light of the preliminary light emission fired by the remote flash device is reflected by a subject and an electric charge accumulated by the reflected light is read, on the basis of a digital signal based on the analog electric signal output by the image pickup element 102. |
