The invention relates to a tank container (1) having a cylindrical vessel (3), of which the ends are closed by curved bases (5), which is provided with an inner layer (6), in particular a lead coating, and which is connected, at the bases (5), to an end-frame arrangement (9) in each case via a ring arrangement (13). The ring arrangement (13) is arranged in a rim region (15) of the base (5). Between the ring arrangement (13) and base, a frustoconical saddle-ring element (17, 17') runs in the rim region (15), concentrically to the ring arrangement (13). This saddle-ring element has a broad side (25) butting against the outside (27) of the rim region (15) and is connected to the rim region (15), via weld seams (33, 35), on its inner and outer peripheries (29, 31), and therefore loads acting between the container (3) and ring arrangement (13) are transmitted between the container (3) and saddle-ring element (17, 17') via the broad side (25). |
