PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AAV variant with decreased immunoreactivity.SOLUTION: There are disclosed a method for preparing recombinant AAV virion with decreased immunoreactivity and a method for using the same. The recombinant AAV virion includes mutated capsid proteins or is derived from non-primate mammalian AAV serotypes and isolates that display decreased immunoreactivity against AAV-2. There are provided, in one embodiment, a method for effective delivery of a heterologous nucleic acid molecule (HNA) to cells or tissues of a vertebrate subject (for example, a mammalian) using the recombinant AAV virion, and an AAV vector used in the method. |
