A turbomachine comprise at least one bladed disc, be it rotating or static, and vortex generators 17 positioned upstream of the blades 1 of the disc, and wherein the vortex generators are of variable pitch. The vortex generators may be fins, each arranged along an axis which is radial with respect to the axis of the turbomachine, the pitch angle being varied by rotation about the radial axis. The vortex generators may be triangular, have an upstream edge inclined with respect to the transverse radial plane, and be secured to a mounting plate 18 that can be rotated to adjust the pitch of the vortex generators. The vortex generators may be positioned upstream of the blade roots. The blades may be fixed guide vanes, with the vortex generators positioned on an internal shroud thereof. The blades may be rotor blades, with the vortex generators positioned on an external shroud thereof. The turbomachine is preferably an axial compressor of a gas turbine engine. |
