<p>Data delivery apparatus 10 for use with a video channel 12 over which video content and meta content are delivered to the user (represented by a receiver 14 and screen or other viewing device 16). The apparatus 10 comprises an input 18 operable to receive a user command representing a command to access alternative meta content, and an output 20 operable to retrieve alternative meta content in response to a command received by the input 18, e.g. pause or stop, and to send the retrieved alternative meta content to the user 14, 16. The alternative meta content may, for example, include further information about the scene which is currently being viewed. This includes advertising or purchasing means for items visible within the scene such as clothing, equipment, furniture, or other items.</p> |
