PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building which takes sunlight into a space arranged on the north side without causing a problem on waterproofing, and utilizes the taken-in sunlight to improve an indoor environment. SOLUTION: A one-story house 10 includes a living-dining room 22 and a skip floor 31. The ceiling surface of the skip floor 31 of a skip floor story part is formed in a higher height position than that of the living-dining room 22 of a first floor part, and a rising south wall part 51 is provided at a position set back to the north side from a first floor south wall part 52. A south window sash 82, into which sunlight T of winter is taken, is installed at the rising south wall part 51.
