Seal for a hydrostatic linear guide

The seal (1) has a longitudinal seal section (7, 7') extending parallel toward an adjustment direction (5). A transverse seal section (8, 8') extends transverse to the adjustment direction. A sealing lip (12) extends along the longitudinal seal section, and another sealing lip (14) extends along the transverse seal section. The longitudinal and the transverse seal sections are connected to each other. The two sealing lips merge into each other with a constant curvature through an arc. The sealing lip is reinforced with a carrier material made of metal or plastic. An independent claim is also included for a carrier body of a hydrostatic linear guide comprising a central recess.
