Curved vehicle roof with reinforcement and damping element

The vehicle roof made of metal, plastic, or composite material is provided with roof reinforcement element (11) along interior surface. The reinforcement element has composite panel that consists of foam core (12) whose both sides are provided with outer layers (14,16). Line-shaped section (40) with cutting depth (T) is provided on roof reinforcement element, and thickness of cutting depth is provided smaller than thickness (Ds) of foam core. The outer layer completely cut along the foam core is intersected to each other at lower edge (18). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing the curved vehicle roof.
