The present invention relates to a refrigerator, and, in particular, to a refrigerator capable of not only separately cooling respective storage rooms therein, but also improving the cooling efficiency thereof, wherein the refrigerator comprises: a refrigerator main body; the storage rooms formed in the refrigerator main body; doors opening or closing the storage rooms; and a cooling unit cooling the storage rooms. The cooling unit includes a compressor, a condenser, a capillary tube, and an evaporator which includes a first evaporator and a second evaporator connected to downstream thereof. An inlet pipe between the first evaporator and the condenser branches off into a first pipe and a second pipe, wherein the first pipe is connected to the first evaporator and the second pipe is connected to the a connecting pipe connecting the first evaporator and the second evaporator. A downstream branching pipe branching off from between the first evaporator and a first valve installed at a branching point from which the first pipe and the second pipe branch off joins a downstream pipe connected to downstream of the second evaporator, and a second valve is installed at a joining point at which the downstream branching pipe and the downstream pipe join. |
