The apparatus (1) has a height adjustable platform (2) provided with a vertically aligned testing surface (10). The testing surface is formed such that the testing surface interacts with a physical or optical pickup device and an adjusting device. Moving devices (3) move the platform in a vertical direction. A measurement device (12) determines a deviation of height adjustment of the gangway adjusting device. The testing surface is integrally formed or detachably connected with the platform. The platform is guided and moved along vertical rails (4). The moving device is a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic moving device such as rope hoist, pulley-block and chain drive. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing an adjusting device of a gangway. |
