The present invention relates to a sealing of a rotary piston internal combustion engine consisting of a rotating block (11) of rotational form with radially disposed cylinders (12) with pistons (13) and externally located solid housing (10) with at least one suction port (14) and/or exhaust port (15). External surface (16) of the rotating block (11) is comprised of a rotary surface with a straight or curved generatrix wherein transversal and/or lateral seals installed in the solid housing (10) bear against the rotary surface. In round lateral grooves (2), there is installed a lateral seal consisting of round lateral sealing segments (1), placed each between adjacent transverse sealing strips (3), which are located in transverse grooves (4). The sealing strips (3) pass across the lateral grooves (2). In connecting points of the lateral sealing segments (1) and the transverse sealing strips (3) there are disposed couplings (5), provided with cutouts (7) for placing therein the lateral sealing segments (1) and the transverse sealing strips (3). |
