The present invention relates to a composition for an open cell foam body, a hydrophobic open cell foam body using the same, and a production method of the same. The present invention provides: composition for the open cell foam body; and a method of effectively producing the hydrophobic open cell foam body with hydrophobicity/oil phobic properties and improved thermal resistance from a resin to melamine foam by partially or entirely coating the surface of an internal frame structure of the open cell foam body.
